It's Wednesday and we are right in the middle of the week and actually we are officially in the middle of February 2023!

It feels like yesterday we were just bringing the new year in and now we are in the middle of February.

Super Bowl check

Valentine's Day Check!

Over the weekend we were able to capture a 15th birthday celebration and we came right into Monday with a Galantine's Day celebration and today we were capturing images for Georgia Stand-Up for an event at Georgia State Capitol.

Busy processing images from all these events along with preparing for our Content Live Event that is happening this coming Sunday! We are looking forward to processing & planning!

As we continue to make plans and pivots in our business each day we have unexpected opportunities that come and we are grateful for that!

Popup Birthday Celebration

Today was a great day to pop up at my sister's house and surprise her.

So as we begin the new year, we decided within our immediate family that when each family members birthday arrives we would all cash app the honoree $1. So that would make there day and even more special day. So as we have begin this birthday initiative we have been blessed with 17 family members throughout the month of January. It just so happened that I had a trip planned and the dates lined up to where I was able to surprise my sister and travel to her house and bring her not only my $1 in person but flowers , cupcakes and love! Oh what a special day it was for surprising her with my presence. I event went live in my family private room on Facebook so that others could see the surprise.

It's always my pleasure to make someone's day! So I felt really super good that I was able to popup and celebrate.

Birthday Celebration Fun!

We recently was invited to a friend’s birthday who decided at the last minute to put together a gathering of friends and family to celebrate her special day. We had such a great night of positive energy good vibes and so much fun!

My friend Vanessa celebrated her 42nd birthday! The crowd danced the DJ and his assistance instructed how to do some line dances they were so engaging with everyone.

Vanessa’s husband even surprised her with a special guest R& B singer Case singing happy birthday to the honoree!

It was such a great night of fun! Definitely was a way to start off the weekend… Friday 13th style!

Dear October 2022!

The month of October. We had quite a bit on the schedule this month!

So let's break down!

When the 1st of October hit I went out on a beautiful day and plan to create image content and informational videos and reels that I could share during the month with my audience online.

Let's get this month started with planning out some good content.

Day 1 Content Creation

Day 2 My niece and her family scheduled family pictures. We decided on this date due to my travel schedule and she and her husband were celebrating their anniversary and she was soon to give birth to a new baby

Oct 6 We were on our way to Houston, Texas to attend The Pink Champagne Retreat

We came in earlier from the retreat so we can visit a few friends while we were there. An extended weekend and wonderful retreat with lots of connection made.

Oct 14 On our return from our trip to Texas, we were now geared up to capture the wedding ceremony of a beautiful couple! This Friday evening wedding was a great start to the weekend. From the behind the scenes details to the ceremony and reception what a great night of love and family fun.

October 15 We were on location for a Rodeo theme birthday party. We enjoyed capturing all the guest as they entered the theme party. It was such a fun great night!

As we were resting up and working to get a few preview images over to our client from the wedding, we had to prepare ourself once again for another ride in the sky. We traveled one way to Columbus, Ohio so that I could ride with my sister back to Georgia.

Oct 18 Flew out to Columbus, Ohio the temperature was 37 degrees. I was able to visit with my brothers and sister and mother. It was a great 24 hours and the next day we packed up her car and took off back to Georgia. The ride back down was a great one. The weather once we his i-75 south was fantastic all the way to Atlanta




October 21 we were on location with one of our clients who hosted a ladies only Halloween Photo Session

October 22 My son and I decided to go to a haunted house. We went out and enjoyed the night! All the Frills and Thrills!

October 29 Received a call from Georgia Stand -up Non Profit Organization to come capture images for early voting block parties that they were hosting for the early voters of Georgia.

October 30 We were out again for another Early voting block party with Georgia Stand- Up Non Profit Organization

Thankful for all the goodness that the month of October allow me! Thank you more please!

So as we have entered the month of November …. I look forward to all the goodness this month will bring!

November Kick- Off

Happy November 1!

We’ve already started off the month capturing images at a day time block party hosted by Georgia Stand-up as they set up celebration pop up parties to encourage people to get out and vote. Early voting has begun in the state of Georgia and official election day is November 8. We are there capturing away! This has been a great way to start off the month!

Special Event Photography Services - Break down!

Today we are breaking down our process of booking our special event photography services. From the booking to completion. Below you will see the order of the process.

  1. Inquiry- We respond to the inquiry with availability as well as information regarding our rates

  2. Booking- By paying the deposit and signing the electronic agreement that puts you on the calendar

  3. Schedule on the calendar

  4. Event Date show up and capture the images

  5. The way I capture images for a special event I divide up into categories ( details and decor, candids(these are some of the best photos), posed(this is where I prepare you to take a photo)

  6. End of the shift (or event) seek out the host to make sure that we captured on the images needed for the event than I pack up stuff and go home

  7. Uploading Images

  8. Cull Images

  9. Organize them on the PC catagorize the images

  10. Upload to Lightroom for processing

  11. Export images once processing is completed

  12. Prepare to transfer images electronically through Wetransfer.com

  13. Upload the images(In the transfer write out instructions to the user on how to access)

  14. Transfer images to thumbdrive to be mailed out

  15. Setup Thank you card and thumbdrive to be mailed out

  16. Received. Wait to receive delivery notice of client receiving the images on thumb drive

  17. Complete

This is the general process on our special event services . One action in between is I send a Thank you email to our client with a note with one of the photos from the event attached to let them know I appreciate the opportunity!

For many years I've captured special social event for a variety of my clients and I'm thankful for all the opportunities!

Building a Brand 2009

The year was 2009 in this year we begin creating and selling customized party decorations.

As we were developing our party decor business and capturing images of our products and posting online we begin to build a wonderful fanbase that like our images and shared our business with others in their network with this type of organic support we were able to grow sell our business and services with a regular flow of orders.


At the time it was so amazing to develop something put it out on social media and begin to get inquiries and orders.

Who would have known that my love for crafting using construction paper , glue sticks & scissors would become a whole business and we have many years of success.


We will always be thankful for these humble beginning all of the clients that supported us by ordering our items and sharing our work with others for that we are grateful that we have this story to tell.

It's Our Anniversary! Cheers to 16 years

Business Photos : The Need for Them

Very earlier on in our journey of photography we begin capturing behind the scene of events and capturing portfolio building images for vendors. I learned early on the importance of having clean crisp images for your brand and services . I also learned that good images will sell your product or service.

So I begin to capture images that I could provide to vendors (at an event) to assist them in building their brand and service. It also helped in establishing good working relationships and networking. They would pass your name to other people that were looking for a good reliable photographer.

Side Note: Look at any of your favorite brands and look how they present their products and services to you. When looking at your favorite brands you don’t see their service or products represented with dark, grainy low quality images.

For record neither should you!

Investing quality images is a must when building your business brand & service.

The place is a perfect spot in Atlanta for a root top celebration that is if the rain will hold out.

One of the great things about being a special event photographer for social events is the emotions that are captured of a moment. The process we have of captured event we move around and we look for and anticipate moments. Their are some moments that are just lucky ones for us, those ones we lived to get!

One thing for sure when looking back at that particular moment in time you can see the tenderness of that moment. So to say one of the great things about being a special event photographer is the connection between the people the event and that special moment in time.

National Selfie Day!

As we are about to settle in for the evening , It was a definite must that we acknowledge National Selfie Day! I almost forget even though I had previously written about it in our bi-weekly newsletter entitled “Keeping up with Kustom” (to sign up for it click here!) Well here we are a variety of images collage together in which I called this “Original Selfie” I came up with that for myself. Whenever I’m on location and we are capturing an event and at the location their is a nice mirror I always take time out to take a photo with my professional camera Over the years we have taken tons of photos we in mirrors of the different events that we have been blessed to capture. 1st Birthday Jungle Party
