Walk through Wynwood Walls

We recently visited Miami, Florida during our time there we visited the very colorful Wynwood Walls area! This area is located just a few minutes down the street from downtown Miami. We explored this area by foot and enjoyed the art that is painted all over the buildings in the area. My son and I stopped at so many different places and took photos and videos.

Here are a few spots we stop along the way to capture fun images. We initially was going to visit the Museum of graffiti. Instead we decided to just walk around the streets of the area and enjoy the art on the walls street signs and the ground.

I was able to get my son to pose in a photo with me! That’s always exciting.

As we were finishing up our walk we did come across The Art of Hip Hop Museum and so we decided to stop in and pay a visit. We will post another blog for that visit.

A Visit to The Book of Hov Exhibit

My Visit to The Book of Hov Exhibit

Earlier this summer I heard about the exhibit that was put together at The Brooklyn Library for Jay-z by his company Roc-Nation

At the time I was thinking how cool is that to put together a cool exhibit of all paraphernalia of the past / present. It wasn’t until I saw the interview with Faye King that I felt as though I would love the opportunity to check that out.

That thought put something in motion… I need to make time to be able to make this personal journey…. The 1st date was the 1st week in December until I found out the exhibit is closing Dec 4. So I was able to push my plan back about a week before which was perfect. Week after Thanksgiving and a week before the close of the exhibit I can make a trip in and out. As time moved on I created additional activities to make use of the one day that I would be in the city! All in all 1 day trip to NYC to check out an exhibit which was a fleeting though turned out to be one of the highlights of my year! Great trip Great exhibit! A wonderful solo adventure!

Street Corner Preaching - with Wall Street Trapper

Yesterday we decided to go to an on the corner classroom hosted by Wall street Trapper.

I initially saw his invitation to attend a couple days prior and wasn’t sure if I was going to go or not.

Well after having an afternoon free to move around I decided on driving to the other side of town to attend. I’m so glad that I did. Not only did I get some great financial lessons I was able to fellowship with some of the members of The Morning meetup (which is my Monday - Friday entrepreneur network that meets daily)

It turned out to be such a wonderful day! Once decision to go turned out to be such a great rest of the day!!!! I love a day like that!!!! Thank you more please!!

Make Moves Monday

Happy Make Moves Monday! It's the 1st Monday of April. We are officially in the 2nd quarter of 2023!

Today we spent time processing images from events over the weekend and last week. I'm so thankful to say that we finally was able to complete the task at hand. Just FYI - We had allot of photos to process.

Happy Monday Good People! So here we are the last Monday in March. I'm just going to say... that was fast.

This month has totally flown by. After a busy weekend we are here! Today I'm happy to say that we made a intention list to get quite a bit crossed off our list and we've successfully completed the items on the list! Yay Me! Now let's see if we can keep this up for the week. The productivity feels good.

Being Everything for Everyone

Today we had the pleasure of being a vendor at Parent Academy that was held at Rockdale Career Academy located in Conyers, Georgia. We’ve participated in the past years, but this was the 1st in person event they have held since 2020.

We were a vendor and we did a pop up shop for our Novelties and Gift online store That Extra Piece. It is time to clear the way from our old inventory and work on what’s next for our gift shop.

It’s been awhile since we’ve done any vendor events and today was one of those days to remind you that You cannot be everything to everybody.

During our in person sales and all the conversations being help with those persons that approach the table. We had all the stuff out on the table that we are wanting to sell. As clients ask for various sizes, colors, shapes etc. for the different items we had displayed.

In the past, I use to try my best to have everything for everybody. Your wish was my command. I wanted the sale so bad I was willing to get them whatever it takes. Yes, I can have that color, Yes I will get that size, Yes I would do this Yes I would do that.

As I’ve matured in this commerce world I was reminded today that you cannot be everything to everybody. What is available is for those individuals that is interested in the items that you have here for sell. There is no need to go to far out the way to please each and everyone that shows a bit of interest in your products and services. If you are able to meet the demand of request by all means do so, but if not. Do what you are able to do and worry less about being everything to everyone.

That was my reminder lesson of the day.

Saturday with my son

Today was one of those days where we got up and out the house today. My son and I was headed to a place to have some inside fun and entertainment once we arrived at the indoor trampoline park the parking lot was so full we knew this was not a good day to visit being that the place was crowded. We than was looking for something else to do with our day. It was a nice one temperature was 62 degrees . What we end up doing is going to 5 Below picking him up a new basketball (seeing that he lost he other one) stopping by a park on our way home. My son shot a few baskets until he was tired and we headed on home for the evening.

So much for our not too much adventure Saturday. It was nice to spend a little time with him even if things didn’t go as planned.

Make Moves Monday!

Happy Monday! Happy 1st week in March! We are here! The beautiful month of March! The weather has been great here in Atlanta where I am and the trees are in bloom. We are working this week to get quite a few things that keep rolling over on our to do list done today and this week!

Today we were able to make updates on our website. Whew! This has been on our list for quite awhile, but if you know anything about updating websites with new information and can be a very time consuming task. I’m just glad we got started. We still have more to go, but its a work in progress.

We also was able to lots of follow-up. For the past few weeks we’ve been out on assignment and that caused a delay in following up. So today we were able to get that done and crossed off the list.

Another task that we need to accomplish is catching up on our blog. We have fell off from our #100daychallenge and now its up to us to get back steady on the blog.

Today was that day to take a moment and relax. Well that sounds good except I had a ton of things I had to get done.

So as I went down the list of task that needed to be completed. So much for Self-care Sunday or Relax and prepare for the week Sunday. Today was a day to get things crossed off and make a new fresh list.

Going Live- on the Go!

Thursday Night Live on Instagram! We've been going a few weeks strong with our special guest Helena Paschal- Certified Event Trainer and Business Coach. Helena who has trained thousands of planners over the years!

We have been going live for the past few Thursday as she provides business and event tips! Today was one of those days where we had quite a few items on the to do list we needed to take care of. As we headed out for the evening I knew we probably would not making back in time for me to do my little weekly setup to prepare for the live broadcast. It dawned on me that if it gets late and dark I will just take a few minutes and go to the car to film. Luck for me I had my cellphone tripod in the car and thankfully a few weeks ago I left a little portable light in my console which was the perfect combination.

We were able to set up the tripod and light on the passengers side and at the right time push the live button.

So just like that we created a car studio :)

Working Wednesday- Check In

It's Wednesday and we are right in the middle of the week and actually we are officially in the middle of February 2023!

It feels like yesterday we were just bringing the new year in and now we are in the middle of February.

Over the weekend we were able to capture a 15th birthday celebration and we came right into Monday with a Galantine's Day celebration and today we were capturing images for Georgia Stand-Up for an event at Georgia State Capitol.

Busy processing images from all these events along with preparing for our Content Live Event that is happening this coming Sunday! We are looking forward to processing & planning!

As we continue to make plans and pivots in our business each day we have unexpected opportunities that come and we are grateful for that!

You Owe You

For my birthday last month a good friend of mine gifted me with a book. It came at a wonderful surprise. I was visiting her while out of town and we scheduled a meetup. As we were finishing up our meeting and it was time for me to head out she handed me a present. I’m like what is this and she goes on to tell me it was a birthday gift. I was so delighted to receive I opened it up and soon as I read the title it spoke very clear to me! You owe You! At the present moment I absolutely needed that message.

I was so happy to receive the gift! It came at such a perfect time.

Working Wednesday- Check In

Just like that we are once again at the middle of the week. This week started out with plans for very productive things to get done and right as we hit Monday, plans of the week changed. Appointments that were previously planned were now being rescheduled due to other things happen and just like that what I thought I was going to be one day totally change to something else.

On Tuesday we met with Chef Kitura as she hosted a tasting at the Creators Club House for Podcast King David Shands (Host of the Social Proof Podcast) One day prior she and I met each other on The Morning Meetup which is a community of entrepreneurs and business owners that meet M-F at 8a.m. for one hour.

We briefly exchanged messages and I offered to meet up with her to assist with her tasting. It turned out to be such an amazing day and she was able to win the contract for an up and coming event! Congratulations Chef!

Today, we initially was meeting with Georgia Stand-up Production Social Media Production team and doing a follow up from our meeting last week. Well there was an immediate change in events when there was an event in town in which the Vice President of the United States was speaking and members of the organization was invited out to the event.

We were invited to capture a few images of the organization and members that were attending this event.

All I can say, you just never know what going to happen next. I begin my week off one way and I could not tell you about all of the goodness that has taken place since the start of the week.

I am grateful.

Make Moves Monday

It’s Make Moves Monday and we’ve been on the move on this final Monday of January 2023!

We received a last minute call from Georgia Stand-up (a non profit organization that deals with social justice issues, and voting rights) They wanted us to be present to capture images for a March in downtown Atlanta as they joined forces with the labor union to bring awareness to Transit Equality Week. We were able to move items on our schedule around and make it downtown just in time to capture the March.

Sunday Funday!

Today was one of those good ole Sundays! Relaxing Chill & spending time with my youngest son!

We were able to go to the barbershop together and get a haircut. My son decided to cut his hair off and start his hair growth journey all over just like I did a few months back. Now we are officially twinning :)

Working Wednesday- Check In

Here we are the last Wednesday of the month of January! It's seems like we were just celebrating and bringing in the new year and here we are at the end of January about to usher in a new month!

I'm thankful for this week. We were blessed to celebrate our birthday last week and next day we flew out on a trip for some rest relaxation. We returned on yesterday and now it's time to catch up on all the things that need to be taken care of. One thing for certain is doing a getaway is good for your soul. It will allow you to break the routine of daily activities and do some other things that you would not normally do. I enjoyed my time away. It was a great restart to the year and month. Now it's time to get working and preparing for our up and coming event Content Live that is taken place this Sunday!

I'm excited to bring two things I super passionate about together! A Photo Event! I love a great event and I'm definitely passionate about taking photos and creating content for business owners!
