Remembering Yesterday- Hello Khalilah Baby Shower

The year was 2013 and we were over the moon excited that my niece was pregnant with her 1st child. Our whole family celebrated  the news. As time went on  we knew that we wanted to throw her a nice shower.

Once my niece found out she was having a girl and she began to love Hello Kitty… and since she had already picked out her daughters name (Khaliah) we decided to play on the name… Hello Khali ( that was the name she was planning to call her for short.

Well as life would have it .. we planned the shower and Khali couldn’t wait to make her entrance in the world… so we still move forward with the shower the baby would just be in attendance.

We had a wonderful intimate celebration of baby with very close family friends and small group of family members which included grandma and grandpa who were over the top excited.

Since that time Khali has continued to bring lots of smiles and joy to our family!!!

Remembering Yesterday -Naimah's 13th birthday party

When my niece turned 13 we were trying to come up with a party theme that would fit a new teen... princess and little girlie themes were no longer a go to idea... we now had to think of something creative and fun for the girls.. so after recently attending a paint party and creating a cute red dress... a light went off in my head and we had the theme for my nieces surprise 13th party. We prepared for the party by purchasing the easels canvases paints and brushes ( thank goodness she has a small group of friends) we covered The dining room table with plastic covering and we setup our paint party. The girls were engaged in painting their masterpiece. After the completion of the art we all took a picture with the art pieces and then went on to the Birthday reception. Singing Happy Birthday and opening up gifts this made for a memorable birthday occasion.
