5 Tips for Self- Care Sunday

Sunday the the start of the week. For me Sunday are such a peaceful day of the week.

It’s a day that gives me a peaceful spirit as we geared up to go into the week ahead.

Today I wanted to give a few tips for Self Care Sunday routine.

  1. Go for a walk

  2. Sit in the Sun

  3. Enjoy a Healthy Meal

  4. Have a Cup of Tea

  5. Take a Shower or Bath

Challenge

For the second week in a row I made the decision to walk Stone Mountain.

Stone Mountain is a mountain located in Stone Mountain Georgia is a park with many things to do such as walking trails nature preserves and many other family activities.

The walk Trail around the mountain is 5 miles.

The 5 miles is a extra push for me considering I do 30 min walks daily totaling a little less than 2 miles.

The challenge with the 5 mikes outside the distance is on the course of the trail you have the path where you going up on an incline which is the most challenging part for me.



So what I learned is the real challenge comes at the 3rd mile marker ( thanks to my Apple Watch that tracks the miles)

The third mike is where the heavy breathing comes in along with the hands on the hip and The constant blurting out of OMG Lord Help Me 😊

This time around I recognized the challenges and decided to shift my mindset on the focus of what is difficult to how this walk is strengthening my heart my calf’s and thighs, by me shifting my thoughts it made the walk today much easier and smoother giving me more of a reason to keep going.

So today I’m excited that I was able to challenge myself and to win!

Yay! To keeping it moving even at my own pace!
