After a weekend road trip to my home state of Ohio. We travel 557 miles a total of 1,114 miles total.

Passing through Tennessee & Kentucky making our way to the little but impactful city of Springfield.

A weekend filled with events. Leaving out late this morning we’ve finally made it back home.

Back in Georgia. We are so thankful that we had a safe trip coming and going!

A day of Family!

Today we decided a few days ago to arrange a family picture.

I traveled to my hometown in Ohio for the weekend and we had decided that all my siblings that were able to be present for a family photo we scheduled one for Sunday evening. We had an overall busy day, but we all decided to do a combination of black and white color (to make it simple) and meet right at the park just a few feet from my mom’s house to capture a few memorable images.

Road Trip for the Class Reunion!

Today we headed out on a road trip to our hometown in Ohio!

We stopped along the way briefly to fill up our tank and grab a little bit to eat.

We kept on going until we reached our destination.

We are looking forward to be here to attend our 30th High School Reunion that is taken place this weekend!

Just Keep It Simple

I tend to overthink the process any time that I have a project that I’m working on.

I have a wide variety of ideas and a long list of items I plan on creating and or doing for the project. All of sudden once the deadline is upon me I begin to get stressed and have a flood of thought like I can’t do this I’m not able to do that. Once I calm myself down take a deep breath and look at the list of items that I was planning on doing, I realize half of what I was trying to do for the project wasn’t even necessary. As the saying goes, ” Your doing too much” and in some cases I really am. Deciding what you want for an outcome and what it will take to get you there could all be really simple. That’s only if you stop trying to add every idea that you brainstorm to the list. So to all my fellow creatives and folks that be “Doing too Much” sometimes we just need to keep it simple. Keeping it simple with keep us sane!

Happy Birthday to my son!

So today was a special day in our family! We celebrated my oldest son’s 22nd birthday.

This wasn’t the celebration like we’ve had in the past. As my son’s got older they no longer required all the bells and whistles that we would add in during the younger days. Today we decided that we would go have dinner at the restaurant of his choice. He choose the local Outback. They were kind enough to serve and ice cream sundae and sing happy birthday to him! Thankful for another birthday in the books!

My top 10 Summer Time Activities to Enjoy!

We are in the heart of the summertime. I feel like once the 4th of July comes around summertime is in full swing. Ever since I was a young girl summer was always my favorite season. I love the feel of summertime sunshine, pool time , schools out , vacation and all the fun it always seems with this season of the year.

Today I decided to list some activities that make summer such a fun season!

  1. Planning a Backyard BBQ (although you can have one any season )there is nothing like a summertime BBQ

  2. Local Pool – Oh yes, now that summer is here all the swimming pools are open for summer fun

  3. Amusement parks- Although this depends on where you are located if you can stand the heat but amusement parks are open and ready to entertain you

  4. Vacation Time- with school being out its the best time to go away and explore other cities and towns

  5. A nice car ride- This is something I’ll do any season but I enjoyed taking my children and doing a scenic ride. We have a chance to explore different parts of the city

  6. Vacation Bible School – For local activities in your communities I’ve always enjoyed a great time at vacation bible school and meeting new friends

  7. Water Games & Fun – this is the time to get the water hose set up and bring out the ole classic slip and slide or set up to have a water balloon fight or water gun battle.

  8. Make some homemade lemonade. I think lemonade is the best drink on a hot summer day!

  9. Porch Life- If you are fortunate to have a porch sitting out on the porch is great in the summertime

  10. Enjoying some ice cream – what a yummy activity for the summertime

A day out with friends

Yesterday I had a amazing afternoon with a few friends. My friend and business coach Helena Paschal was visiting here in Atlanta and schedule time for us to meet up grab a bite to eat and catch up with life.

Helena, Lawanna and I meant up Fellini’s a Pizza Shop (my first time visiting) and we sat for hours chatting up and catching up with life. Our last time being together was about late 2017 when we as friends all were able to meet up and catch up on life’s happenings. So yesterday was a long time coming…

Here is my piece of cheese pizza before and after. I enjoyed my slice of pizza. It was so very good! (and I’m not a pizza person)

Dear June 2022,

Thank you once again for allowing me to start the month off by traveling to the Houston it was a really great way to start the month off! This trip allow me the opportunity to visit friends and create some memorable moments during the 5 days I was blessed to stay.

Upon returning we geared up to capture images for our client's son's 1st birthday. We were thankful for the opportunity seeing that the last time we saw this family was last year when the mother was pregnant and we were capturing maternity family images.

Thankful that our friend Vanessa purchased tickets and invited us out to the taste of Atlanta Juneteenth edition. We enjoyed a weeknight out networking and fellowshipping.

We had the opportunity to celebrate our friend/brother from another mother Aj of (Aj's Catering Atlanta) birthday celebration pool party! We had such an amazing time. This was one for the books!

We had the opportunity to work with the organization Georgia - STAND-UP as they hosted a few events at their movement center.

Hosting our content creation photo session event was one of the highlights of the month! We invited business owners /entrepreneurs out to have an opportunity to capture images need to create content for their online and offline needs

One of the most exciting moments is completing my #100daydreamchallenge of writing a blog post for 100 day straight ! Yay Me I completed the mission and I'm happy for it. So happy we began again :)

Thankful for all the goodness that the month of June allow me! Thank you more please!

So as we enter the month of July.... I look forward to all the goodness this month will bring!

Today was one of those days that started off with regular daily activities and before you know the day to an unexpected turn. We were off to an event with our client and we captured a few behind the scenes images of their self defense class for an all girls summer camp. I than went on to spend some time with my youngest son, we picked up some take out for dinner and enjoyed a great conversation with each other. How was your day today? Did you get allot accomplish! Small Steps Everyday

As we begin the journey of blogging everyday once again for the next 100 days I’m reminding of just taking small steps daily to accomplish your goals. There are times that we look at the bigger picture of what we want and many of us decide to take on the whole project all at once and when we fail to meet the goal we are disappointed and many times will back up from the project or even quit. I’m a firm believer is just do a little bit daily. So as we begin again blogging each day we are going to just take small steps everyday to continue to meet our goal.

Restarting the 100 Day Challenge!

Now that we have completed our 100 day challenge we’ve decided to jump right back in and continue to blog once again for the next 100 days. We’ve set up our halfway point which is in August and the next completion date is October. Besides challenging myself to write everyday, I’m going to incorporate something else to my daily routine. 100 Day Dream Challenge- Completed

I’m am so excited that I’ve officially completed the #100daydreamchallenge

This challenge was presented by one of my favorite online influencers Brother Ben X

to challenge his audience to decide to do something for the next 100 days. During that time he even asked the question when is the last time you did anything for 100 days straight. That started me to thinking. In actuality I don’t know of anything that I actually challenge myself to do for 100 days straight. I decided to write a blog post daily. So for 100 days straight I’ve posted on my blog. This challenge has really encourage me to keep going. I was inspired to write daily a few years ago when I subscribed to Seth Godin Blog I admired the fact that he writes a blog post daily. I’m patting myself on the back, whistling Dixie.. and even break dancing (not really , but in my head) that I officially completed the challenge. This has gave me a daily habit of writing and I would like to continue posting daily! Here’s to a challenge of daily content!

Throwback Thursday- Photo Session

We came across a photo session that we had done in the wonderful year of 2015!

Yes, our lovely fellow photographer friend Eve Loves Photography captured some updated looks for us that year. This was one of the 1st time I decided to work with another photographer to allow them to capture images for me. Each time that I have the opportunity to work with a photographer I always summons one of my sons to come with me on the shoot to capture behind the scenes action.

Behind the scenes is where all the magic is happening. The blunders the conversations the silly poses and all the fun.

This particular year I found this adorable shirt ( I love this affirmation) Live your Dream I paired it up with my black blazer my skinny jeans and my nude color heels and I was ready for action.

From this point on I made it a yearly thing (especially around my birthday) to do a photo session!

We still love this phrase “Live Your Dreams”

National Selfie Day!

As we are about to settle in for the evening , It was a definite must that we acknowledge National Selfie Day! I almost forget even though I had previously written about it in our bi-weekly newsletter entitled “Keeping up with Kustom” (to sign up for it click here!) Well here we are a variety of images collage together in which I called this “Original Selfie” I came up with that for myself. Whenever I’m on location and we are capturing an event and at the location their is a nice mirror I always take time out to take a photo with my professional camera Over the years we have taken tons of photos we in mirrors of the different events that we have been blessed to capture.
