100 Day Dream Challenge- Completed

I’m am so excited that I’ve officially completed the #100daydreamchallenge

This challenge was presented by one of my favorite online influencers Brother Ben X

to challenge his audience to decide to do something for the next 100 days. During that time he even asked the question when is the last time you did anything for 100 days straight. That started me to thinking. In actuality I don’t know of anything that I actually challenge myself to do for 100 days straight. I decided to write a blog post daily. So for 100 days straight I’ve posted on my blog. This challenge has really encourage me to keep going. I was inspired to write daily a few years ago when I subscribed to Seth Godin Blog I admired the fact that he writes a blog post daily. I’m patting myself on the back, whistling Dixie.. and even break dancing (not really , but in my head) that I officially completed the challenge. This has gave me a daily habit of writing and I would like to continue posting daily! Here’s to a challenge of daily content!

Throwback Thursday- Photo Session

We came across a photo session that we had done in the wonderful year of 2015!

Yes, our lovely fellow photographer friend Eve Loves Photography captured some updated looks for us that year. This was one of the 1st time I decided to work with another photographer to allow them to capture images for me. Each time that I have the opportunity to work with a photographer I always summons one of my sons to come with me on the shoot to capture behind the scenes action.

Behind the scenes is where all the magic is happening. The blunders the conversations the silly poses and all the fun.

This particular year I found this adorable shirt ( I love this affirmation) Live your Dream I paired it up with my black blazer my skinny jeans and my nude color heels and I was ready for action.

From this point on I made it a yearly thing (especially around my birthday) to do a photo session!

We still love this phrase “Live Your Dreams”

Touched By an Angel

As we count down the days until Father’s Day! I came across a memory on my Facebook Account of a Poem I wrote about my father. I lost my father on February 7, 2000. At this time it seems like a lifetime ago, but I’m so very thankful of all of the lessons I learned from him. This was a Poem that I wrote in his Honor!

About a week ago

It’s been a week ago today that I was visiting friends and Houston. After a Friday afternoon of running errands and getting everything in place we were ready to hang out that evening for fun times.

My friend Terri and I got dressed and went on to hang out to enjoy a wonderful night in the great city of Houston! Terri who has recently moved to Houston last fall has been exploring the city and the many different things to do. She and I have had a list of restaurants , patio bars, coffee shop, selfie museums and night life activities that we’ve been wanting to cross off our list. So last Friday we visited the Urban Social and enjoyed ourselves! Here’s to another items being crossed off our list!

On The Way Out

So today we are heading out of town to visit a few friends over in the great state of Texas!

Travel day! When I plan a trip for some strange reason I wind up with preparation anxiety!

I diagnosed myself and I realize when I'm planning to travel, I'm trying to make sure all my I's are dotted and my T's are crossed. All of a sudden I have a laundry list of things to do and get done before the day we leave out. The next hurdle in my journey is leaving out of the great city of Atlanta! Depending on the time of day, you have to make sure to get an early start to your day and make sure you are at the airport because Atlanta International airport can be super busy!

Now that the US is open folks have definitely made travel plans. The airport was fairly busy, but I am happy to report I was able to get through TSA with allot of quickness.

So we were able to make it through security and to our gate with lots of time to spare!

Happy to report we made great use of our time to work on some up and coming projects.

We are happy to report we made it safely to our destination and now we are ready for an awesome eventful productive weekend!

Dear May 2022,

Thank you for starting the month off with a bang! That set the tone as we traveled through the days and weeks of the month. Meeting my family down in Hollywood Florida as we shared moments on the beach , great moments at dinner and a nice ride over to the city of Miami! The sunshine palm trees and the beautiful water was just what the doctor ordered. During our time I enjoyed and took in each of the days we were there.

Returning back home the next day we had a very quiet and beautiful Mother’s Day!

As the days progressed we were blessed to capture images for a beautiful ribbon cutting ceremony for Georgia Stand up! Spending the day as personal paparazzi for the CEO of the organization it was wonderful to see her interact with the people of the community and all the dignitaries they came out for the event.

Moving forward we starting training for a contract work at home position we secured prior to going to Florida. Just that fast I was happy to be assisting another small business by using my customer service talents.

We also introduce our network with our services that we store offering which is social media management and virtual assistance services. We know that small companies can use an extra pair of hands and we are happy and excited to offer ours. Click here to learn more!

End of the 8th grade. My son last year in middle and the school year is ending. We stirred up allot of excitement preparing for the 8th grade dance as well as the end if the year activities. They even hosted a ceremony / graduation to prepare them and celebrate the end of middle school!

Congratulations to all the 8th graders everywhere!

60th birthday celebrations we captured for our clients! It’s always a pleasure to photograph memorable memories for our clients. The food the folks the fun!

We also was able to capture another ribbon cutting ceremony for Overture Powers Ferry A 55-plus apartment community.

How about saying so long to my sister as she traveled back to Ohio after being here in Georgia for the last couple of months.

Graduation Graduation it was wonderful seeing kids that I’ve watched grow up to walk across the stage and graduate high school! We’ve sent out well wishes galore for all the accomplishments that we’ve been able to witness!

Congratulations to all the 2022 Graduates!!!!! Well done!!!

Intimate gathering with friends!

Thank you to my friend Kim and her family for inviting us to a intimate backyard BBQ over the Memorial Day weekend. We couldn’t have had a better ending to a beautiful and active month! Quiet Peaceful by the water with delicious food!!!

Getting Ready

We are preparing for a weekend trip and today was one of those day where we are working to get everything together and tie up as many loose ends as possible. We were able to treat ourselves to a pedicure and getting our eyebrows arched (which we were long overdue) My son and I made an appointment to the barbershop and last but not least we were able to make it to the beauty supply store to grab some braiding hair for our hair appointment tomorrow. As I sat at the variety places I had to go it gave me moments to sit down take a few deep breaths between each stop and be thankful that we are able to move around like we are and prepare to go away for a few short days.

Do you ever feel overwhelmed in preparing to go on a trip and getting everything in place to travel.

Impromptu Gathering with Friends

Yesterday we received a message from our friend Kim, extended an invitation to join she and her family for some Bar B Q and to sit pool side and enjoy a relaxing Sunday. We happily accepted the invitation and we were able to join the family for some pool side chat food and we even had a small celebration for their grand baby. As we close out this Sunday we are so very grateful for such a wonderful weekend. Thankful for invites for Impromptu gatherings with friends!

A Day Late

A day late & A Dollar short. That is the term that comes to mind for me.

I’m currently participating in one hundred-day challenge. The challenge is doing something for the next 100 days. I have chosen to make a blog post every day. So far so good. Well up until I got up this morning feeling wonderful and good and realize I forgot to make a blog post yesterday! Say what??!!! I couldn’t believe I forgot…. I’ve been so committed to this process that I was mortified to realize I forgot. However, I’m here to make up for yesterday with this post! Our plates may get full and things that are on our list to do we can forget, but we are here and we are committed to this process. Although we are a day late on the post (I will backdate this to yesterday’s date) I’m still committed to the process. Here’s to the #100daydreamchallenge and staying committed to the challenge!

5 of my Favorite Movies from the 80’s

Yesterday, I heard a song by Billy Ocean that reminding me of the good times of growing up in the 80’s. From that point of hearing the songs I went on a search of some of my favorite movies from that time. So I came across a few of my favorite movies that I love (we) loved and watch the trailers from the movie. Back then when we watch movies we would record them on video and my little brother and I would watch them over and over again. Our favorites were mostly teen and comedy because we both lived for a good laugh. We would also try and convinced our parents to watch some of our favorites as well.

When Life Gives you that Moment

“When Life gives you that moment… take a picture” Lately I’ve been going through plenty of image from photo sessions I’ve captured over the years. It brings back really fond memories. The places and people we have captured. It really keeps you locked into the moment. I’ve even been going through photos from our family albums and looking at moments that have gone passed. Some images I just stare off and remember a time others which are classic moments before I was born and I try to imagine the time period and what life was like for members of my family. It is with those special images that is a reminder take a picture. Capture a moment. I believe the future generations will be glad you did.

Random Word Dump Challenge

I ran out of words

So recently I did something that I haven't done in awhile and that was to do a random word dump.

I know your asking what is that??!! That is when I take out a piece of paper and I feel it up with random words without stopping. Once I begin the goal is to feel up the sheet with words that come to mind until I completely fill up the page. This technique or exercise I use as apart of a meditation process.

At times in my life the world just seems to be moving so very fast around you and I sometimes get so caught up in the everyday hustle bustle of life, I need a moment in order to slow down and process all that is happening.

The funny thing is while I was doing the random word dump challenge, I begin to slow down and think to long about what these random thoughts and words were going to be next on the paper.

I realize I definitely need to put this back into my regular routine because the way I begin to slow down, I was questioning myself and my thoughts :)

We completed the random word dump and we did fill up the page.
