Today we decided to spend time with ourselves we venture out to a mall located on the other side of town. We browse through the stores and enjoy the energy of the environment. Watching people as they shopped ate and walk through the mall just like myself. After returning home and just sitting down to write this blog out I feel so at ease and refreshed. Somedays it just important to spend time with yourself change your environment and put your mind at ease!

Since the earlier days they have been my subject for taking pictures. As they have matured into young men they hardly like to allow me to capture a moment with them (awww boo!) On this rare occasion they allowed me to do so. It’s always a great day when we three come together! Much love to these guys!

I’m excited once again to announce that I am 50 days in on the #100daydreamchallenge second time around. I’m so happy to work on developing the habit of writing everyday. I was inspired many years ago by marketing guru Seth Godin as he writes a blog post everyday. That was a goal of mine and it wasn’t until earlier this year when Social Media Influencer Brother Ben X proposed a challenge to his followers to do something for 100 days in a row. For me that something was to write a blog post everyday! I successfully completed the #100daydreamchallenge in June and decided to start again. So here we are 50 days in second time around and I’m excited to keep this going! So I encourage you to challenge yourself to doing something (anything) for the next 100 days. See how committed you will be to the process.
Today I celebrate the halfway point of the challenge and look forward to keep going!

This past weekend I met up with my brother his wife and my cousin and his lady and we spent the weekend in Orlando, Florida. We ate fellowship, sat poolside ran the streets of Orlando enjoying the little getaway that we had and before you know it we were packing our bags back up and headed back home!
Totally enjoyed my time away and it was great seeing my cousin who I hadn't seen in a good amount of years.

The Month of July was a pretty eventful one for us. A Great month. We were busy and lots of twist and turns. We were able to celebrate capture events and travel! July thank you! More Please!
We started the month off with an invitation to a BBQ at our Friends Tonyia and Patrick Lowe home.
This was a great way to start the month off with a long Independence Day Holiday Weekend.

We were excited to learn that our business mentor Helena Paschal was coming to town. We made time to meet up for some pizza at her favorite spot Fellini’s so we ate, laughed and have some girl talk!
On July 6 we celebrated my sons 22nd birthday he and I had dinner at our favorite spot Outback where we enjoyed a nice dinner.
As the week progressed we prepared for a road trip to my hometown to attend our 30th Anniversary High School Class Reunion 1992!

We had a great night of connection fellowship and fun!
The next day while still visiting my hometown of Springfield, Ohio we attended a community come together event. My sister and I were vendors she sold pies and I sold novelties & gifts
While we were visiting our hometown we had the opportunity to do a family photo session with all my siblings that were present and any of the grandchildren and great grandchildren that were present on this date for the session.

Today is a special day! It’s the Anniversary of birth of my dear ole mother!
August 6 a great day in history for our family. My mother was born in Sparta, Georgia she was one of five children of her parents. Her father died when she was five years old leaving my grandmother a widow and left to raise her 5 children on her own. At the age of 11, my mother and family moved to our home town of Springfield, Ohio. During those days many black folks were looking for better conditions for their lives and the lives of their families. They found better life for themselves and settled in Springfield, Ohio!
Down the line… She married my father.. and she had a seven children of her own with 3 bonus children.
Happy Happy Birthday Mother!!!! Wish you many many more!

Happy Working Wednesday! Today is the 1st Wednesday of August 2022!
We’ve entered into a new month and we off to a great start. I’ve been pretty busy this week and today I wasn’t sure if today was Tuesday or Wednesday!!! Ha! Ha!

This week has been a pretty busy one for us! We’ve had many appointments on our calendar this week and it feels like we have been running from pillar to post! So today after finishing up some of our contract work we did a big exhale and had some quiet time just to take in the moments of peace!

This week has been a very busy one and it went by pretty fast. At the begging of the week Monday we were traveling back from our hometown of Springfield, Ohio. It was a beautiful ride back to Georgia.
Beautiful blue skies green trees and sunshine. We arrived that evening giving enough time to shower and prepare for bed. Next day we began our normal daily routine exercise , work and catching up with all the things that we need to do within our photography business. Before you know it this week has been a pretty busy and productive and Friday comes fast! So as we are winding down and preparing for the weekend. We are thankful for the productive week we have experienced. What about you. How did your week go ?

After a weekend road trip to my home state of Ohio. We travel 557 miles a total of 1,114 miles total.
Passing through Tennessee & Kentucky making our way to the little but impactful city of Springfield.
A weekend filled with events. Leaving out late this morning we’ve finally made it back home.
Back in Georgia. We are so thankful that we had a safe trip coming and going!

Today we decided a few days ago to arrange a family picture.
I traveled to my hometown in Ohio for the weekend and we had decided that all my siblings that were able to be present for a family photo we scheduled one for Sunday evening. We had an overall busy day, but we all decided to do a combination of black and white color (to make it simple) and meet right at the park just a few feet from my mom’s house to capture a few memorable images.

Today we headed out on a road trip to our hometown in Ohio!
We stopped along the way briefly to fill up our tank and grab a little bit to eat.
We kept on going until we reached our destination.
We are looking forward to be here to attend our 30th High School Reunion that is taken place this weekend!

I tend to overthink the process any time that I have a project that I’m working on.
I have a wide variety of ideas and a long list of items I plan on creating and or doing for the project. All of sudden once the deadline is upon me I begin to get stressed and have a flood of thought like I can’t do this I’m not able to do that. Once I calm myself down take a deep breath and look at the list of items that I was planning on doing, I realize half of what I was trying to do for the project wasn’t even necessary. As the saying goes, ” Your doing too much” and in some cases I really am. Deciding what you want for an outcome and what it will take to get you there could all be really simple. That’s only if you stop trying to add every idea that you brainstorm to the list. So to all my fellow creatives and folks that be “Doing too Much” sometimes we just need to keep it simple. Keeping it simple with keep us sane!

So today was a special day in our family! We celebrated my oldest son’s 22nd birthday.
This wasn’t the celebration like we’ve had in the past. As my son’s got older they no longer required all the bells and whistles that we would add in during the younger days. Today we decided that we would go have dinner at the restaurant of his choice. He choose the local Outback. They were kind enough to serve and ice cream sundae and sing happy birthday to him! Thankful for another birthday in the books!

Yesterday I had a amazing afternoon with a few friends. My friend and business coach Helena Paschal was visiting here in Atlanta and schedule time for us to meet up grab a bite to eat and catch up with life.
Helena, Lawanna and I meant up Fellini’s a Pizza Shop (my first time visiting) and we sat for hours chatting up and catching up with life. Our last time being together was about late 2017 when we as friends all were able to meet up and catch up on life’s happenings. So yesterday was a long time coming…
Here is my piece of cheese pizza before and after. I enjoyed my slice of pizza. It was so very good! (and I’m not a pizza person)

Thank you once again for allowing me to start the month off by traveling to the Houston it was a really great way to start the month off! This trip allow me the opportunity to visit friends and create some memorable moments during the 5 days I was blessed to stay.
Upon returning we geared up to capture images for our client's son's 1st birthday. We were thankful for the opportunity seeing that the last time we saw this family was last year when the mother was pregnant and we were capturing maternity family images.
Thankful that our friend Vanessa purchased tickets and invited us out to the taste of Atlanta Juneteenth edition. We enjoyed a weeknight out networking and fellowshipping.
We had the opportunity to celebrate our friend/brother from another mother Aj of (Aj's Catering Atlanta) birthday celebration pool party! We had such an amazing time. This was one for the books!
We had the opportunity to work with the organization Georgia - STAND-UP as they hosted a few events at their movement center.
Hosting our content creation photo session event was one of the highlights of the month! We invited business owners /entrepreneurs out to have an opportunity to capture images need to create content for their online and offline needs
One of the most exciting moments is completing my #100daydreamchallenge of writing a blog post for 100 day straight ! Yay Me I completed the mission and I'm happy for it. So happy we began again :)

As we begin the journey of blogging everyday once again for the next 100 days I’m reminding of just taking small steps daily to accomplish your goals. There are times that we look at the bigger picture of what we want and many of us decide to take on the whole project all at once and when we fail to meet the goal we are disappointed and many times will back up from the project or even quit. I’m a firm believer is just do a little bit daily. So as we begin again blogging each day we are going to just take small steps everyday to continue to meet our goal.

Now that we have completed our 100 day challenge we’ve decided to jump right back in and continue to blog once again for the next 100 days. We’ve set up our halfway point which is in August and the next completion date is October. Besides challenging myself to write everyday, I’m going to incorporate something else to my daily routine. So here we are inside of day one for the next 100 days!
