Today was a great day to pop up at my sister's house and surprise her.
So as we begin the new year, we decided within our immediate family that when each family members birthday arrives we would all cash app the honoree $1. So that would make there day and even more special day. So as we have begin this birthday initiative we have been blessed with 17 family members throughout the month of January. It just so happened that I had a trip planned and the dates lined up to where I was able to surprise my sister and travel to her house and bring her not only my $1 in person but flowers , cupcakes and love! Oh what a special day it was for surprising her with my presence. I event went live in my family private room on Facebook so that others could see the surprise.
It's always my pleasure to make someone's day! So I felt really super good that I was able to popup and celebrate.

We recently was invited to a friend’s birthday who decided at the last minute to put together a gathering of friends and family to celebrate her special day. We had such a great night of positive energy good vibes and so much fun!
My friend Vanessa celebrated her 42nd birthday! The crowd danced the DJ and his assistance instructed how to do some line dances they were so engaging with everyone.
Vanessa’s husband even surprised her with a special guest R& B singer Case singing happy birthday to the honoree!
It was such a great night of fun! Definitely was a way to start off the weekend… Friday 13th style!

Today we celebrated my youngest son Cameron’s 15th Birthday! Yep my son is no longer a baby boy he is a young teenager.
For years we would be preparing to have family and friends over for a themed out party, but as this young man became older he settles for a nice dinner out with the family.
Tonight we went to one of his favorite restaurants and have a nice dinner to celebrate his special day.
Happy Birthday Cameron! May you be blessed with many more.

Building a Brand 2009
The year was 2009 in this year we begin creating and selling customized party decorations.
As we were developing our party decor business and capturing images of our products and posting online we begin to build a wonderful fanbase that like our images and shared our business with others in their network with this type of organic support we were able to grow sell our business and services with a regular flow of orders.
At the time it was so amazing to develop something put it out on social media and begin to get inquiries and orders.
Who would have known that my love for crafting using construction paper , glue sticks & scissors would become a whole business and we have many years of success.
We will always be thankful for these humble beginning all of the clients that supported us by ordering our items and sharing our work with others for that we are grateful that we have this story to tell.

Saturday Night we were on location capturing a special birthday celebration at 5 Church Atlanta.
The place is a perfect spot in Atlanta for a root top celebration that is if the rain will hold out.
Despite the rain in all we were still able to capture moments of family and friends on the rooftop!

Last week we received a call from our clients that we had the privilege of capturing special maternity photos of last year. We were thrilled to receive a call asking us if we had time in our schedule to capture their son’s 1st birthday party! I was happy that my calendar was open and I was able to come out and capture this milestone moment for this family! I’m so thankful to have the opportunity to grow with families its very rewarding!

One thing you are indeed at a party like all the time. You also get to meet an array of beautiful people on the inside and out. You get a chance to visit many different venues. You see a variety of ideas and concepts for celebrations…. did I mentioned the food…. it’s seems like every event the hosts always wants to make sure you get a plate and eat!!! Next is the amazing dessert you get to experience all types of goodness from delicious cakes cupcakes brownies chocolate cover strawberries pretzels… you name it… we’ve captured… and one of the main experiences from being a social event photographer is the history that you are recording… ⠀

Being a Social Event Photographer, I believe a DJ can make or break your event. Here’s the thing music creates a vibe for your event, so if you have some good music playing you notice how guests might go from tapping their feet to singing along to ultimately making their way to the dance floor. The good Dj will keep this kinda vibe going for the entire duration of the event.
Now in my experience of being present to capture many events there have been times when the music playing was so great and the DJ was going in on the mix, I didn’t want to leave the event. There also have been other times when you have a so-called DJ that was just playing random songs that had no rhyme or reason on why it’s being played. I’ve also witness the deaden of the crowd because the music played was just not right for this party. So if you are planning an event and you are hiring a DJ make sure you get one that will make your guest remember they had a great time. Great Blends, Knows their eras of music , over all just a great entertainer for the night!
For fun we also watch live DJ’s on twitch tv app mixing and blending music online!
1. To take the pressure off trying to be everything at your event. It’s a difficult task trying to host and take photos at the same time
2. It’s an investment in your memories. When most people put on a party/celebration there is a lot of time
energy and thought that goes into the celebration. Once everything is over the only thing left from the event are memories. Add professional photography as an investment in your memories.
3. Professional Quality of Photos – Although everyone nowadays is toting around smartphones in their hands and the images from the phone have come a long way. Nothing beats the quality and practice eye of a photographer
4. Details and Décor – Like we mentioned before quite a bit of planning goes into your event and that most likely is the Details. Special Event photographers have a way of capturing those items in a special way.

5. Candids – This is a favorite. At a Celebration, there is so much going on and professional photographers are there to capture those special moments while no one is looking.

On Yesterday we had the opportunity to capture images for a 5th Birthday Celebration. This beautifully theme party was set up and themed Unicorns. This high energy party made for a great afternoon for children and adults alike. We had the opportunity to stop our work for a moment to capture our image with Elsa (Frozen) she was entertaining all the children at the party with fun games and balloon art.

The Year :2009Brandi Starr &Social Media Networking
2009 this was the year we joined a variety of social media platforms
I was a very active user on Twitter out there talking and chatting it up on the internet streets.
One person in particular I was having conversation with was Brandi Starr At that time was a wedding/ special Event planner
We connected and would chat online. This particular year her Birthday came up and she decided instead of throwing herself a party she would donate her time and celebrate her birthday with the children of Our House ( an organization that helps homeless families)
She reached out to me to see if I would be willing to come capture images of the day. I was thrilled to be apart of this great event. To go one step further I told Brandi I would donate some of my customize décor to bring along.
The event turned out great. The staff the children were very pleased with the celebration and I was thankful to be apart. After that event Brandi later reached out to me to be the photographer for another event this time is was paid gig from one of her corporate clients. I was thrilled and excited that she ask me to be the photographer. (yay me!!!)
Now this is when I had to step my game up....
She ask me to send over my contract so we can get things squared away…..
Well uhhh ummmm I didn’t have a contract didn’t know what one look like.... so what was I to do…..
well good ole google.com to the rescue found me a template put me an agreement in place and there you have it….
I’m a professional photographer I got a contract I’m hired by an event planner and….. drum roll please I got a corporate client!!!

It’s been awhile since we’ve blog and boy oh boy we have got allot to catch up on. We’ve have been busy all summer long capturing a variety of events! We are happy to share this beautiful White & Gold 50th Birthday Celebration we had the opportunity to capture.
We were contacted earlier this year and booked for this Summer All white party. The theme was Chicago since the honoree was originally from there. Family and Friends travel from near and far to be apart of this great night.
Hosted at Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Georgia. The DJ kept the crowd on the floor with a great mix of old school new school and classic Chicago! The MC of the night kept the crowd engage. Their were gift being handed out all night by raffle tickets that were given to every guest as they entered the room. Chicago Skyline was the Step and Repeat and a delicious dinner was served your choice of Salmon or Chicken. The guest danced the night away as they tossed to the birthday girl. We were so thrilled that we could be apart of this celebration and captured moments from this milestone.
